Though I know there is no masterplan I keep hanging on And doing what I do Cos it feels right Get it on Let's count backwards from ten No I can't wait until I've waited far too long So come on, it feels like midnight I said I've waited far too long Yes I know there is no masterplan It's gotta move We're hanging thru Doesn't matter what we do Yes it's true I feel like half a man Who lost his grip once new Guess it might be just The end for something new And I don't really know where we're at now And I don't know which way to choose Oh however we may act now I spread my hand The grip is loose So come on, it feels like midnight Yes I've waited far too long Though I know there is no masterplan I still keep hanging on with you Yes I know there is no masterplan In doing what I do Doing what I do
2.
Ship's going down Ship's going down Ship's going down It's going down Ship's going down Now we're all alone We're all alone We're left alone Left on our own We're all alone Ship's going down Ship's going down Ship's going down It's going down Shit's going down Come on take my hand Get me thru this Keep me going on Come on take my hand We'll get thru this Oh just hang on Women and children save yourself The captain's already gone He's doing fine in a safety place Long before the storm
3.
A quick escape for the better One more step to the edge Let's die beautiful Make an end to forever Prepare the final stage We'll die beautiful One step away An unsure smile Take a last breath Before we fade out of the line Don't close your eyes Enjoy the last parade And there's the change in the weather We were longing all the way Let's die beautiful Take me all away Take me all away Take me all away Just as light as a feather We're never ment to stay We'll die beautiful We'll die beautiful Get yourselves together We'll set the night on fire We'll die beautiful We'll die beautiful
4.
Along the sideways Around the bend Across the marketplace Of return and send Beautiful landscapes pass All along the way There are no crossraods This road is winding Yes not ahead but if you Look behind you It's on with every step I take Even I don't move anyway A written dialog in a silent movie The speeding movement of them actors of Might discripe in black and white what We know in colored waves So if you're looking for me at the railways You should have known I never choosed the straights Yeah just keep looking for me at the railways I'd rather lead myself astray I'd rather lead myself astray I'd rather lead myself astray And now I'm off the road again I left the door closing behind me I left a letter on the stairs to remind me If I ever come back here These are the opening words
5.
There's something bigger then yourself There's something bigger then you think you are Is it true that you get all the love in the world Yeah although you don't deserve it There's something sweeter then your power It's something you might never dig at all Cos the fuse of all sparks also works on themselves Yeah although they're just spinning for themselves No need to bother me Can't stand you bother me No don't you bother me There's something bigger then yourself There's something bigger then you think you are Is it true that you get all the love in the world Yeah although you don't deserve it Let's spill that drink Come take me home Let's skip this phrases Take me home with you Cos it feels just like the state I'm in So let's just waste no time
6.
I still keep wondering of The things you did You needed to prove I can feel that change It's coming round for you and me So we will see Things from outside the circle This view will change a lot But it doesn't make a difference Now we're off we can't get back And I wouldn't mind we're lonley It's just hard to understand These things outside the circle Getting round They're getting round They're getting round
7.
Are You Sure 05:49
Are you sure The concentration comes at last Are you sure All the world would all make sense When future becomes past Are you sure Every piece is in its place For the birth of your creation And its starting celebration Are you sure for a safety letting go Cos It's now or never Don't hold on for the waiting ones You would know When it's all because of you If it's all because of you The final destination Of your sticky situation I would follow your direction But are you sure Are you sure What if your plans won't work out right Are you sure You'd find somebody else to blame And try to fool us one more time Are you sure for the promises you make Cos it's hard to keep what you once said And easy just to break You should know It's all because of you It's all because of you The final destination Of your sticky situation I would follow your direction But are you sure Are you sure Liquid in the light Everything seems blury now But it's shining so bright Just for now We watch your moment pass And now it's gone Oh such a waste of time But you know We get blinded by your light Blinded by your halo When you're gone and out of sight It's all because of you It's all because of you The final destination Of your sticky situation I would follow your direction But are you sure Are you sure It's not because of you Is it not because of you? The final destination Of your sticky situation I would follow your direction But are you sure

Who's that to decide what you gotta do Whose hand is that to write down an every rule What's good or bad isn't up to you But who's that to decide what you gotta do Who's that to prove Who's that to decide what is good for you Who's telling anybody what you gotta do Are you waiting in line 'til it gets to you Whose turn is it to tell you that your turn is thru Who's that to prove Who's deciding what to do Who's deciding what to choose Who's deciding the next move Who decides what's true When it's passing the buttom Will it pass to you Right when you're unaware for an elegant move But as long as you stay brave It will not hurt you Who's that to prove Who's deciding what to do Who's deciding what's the thruth Who's deciding for me and you Who decides what's true When it's passing the buttom Will it pass to you Right when you're unaware for an elegant move But as long as you stay brave It will not hurt you Who's that to prove Who's deciding what to do Who's deciding what to choose Who's deciding the next move Who decides what's true So there's one hand washes the other Every decision needs to be well planed It's all for a personal benefit Who's deciding what we don't understand Who's that deciding Who's that deciding So it's an everycircling ceremony Repeats itsself from decade to decade It just depends on which side you are born on in And which side has the price to pay Who's deciding Who's deciding Who's deciding who to command Who's to blame for the damage it brought us in Who's deciding fucking who to go on Who's deciding Who's that deciding Who's that deciding When it's passing the buttom Will it pass to you Right when you're unaware for an elegant move But as long as you stay brave It will not hurt you Who's deciding what to do Who's deciding what's the thruth Who's deciding for me and you Who decides what's true

Waiting in line with the nervous tic I'm trying to keep slow down And it's easy to slow down That's exciting Gets my feet back down on the ground And all the way I think it's gonna be okay It's a lesson in keep trying taking time So take me where I belong to be And I trust you from time to time May the smallest opportunity Open up a 360 sight And I can't tell exactly when and how But I know it must be right on time Just like everybody tries to please Who's actually first in line It's coming down I knew it all along Keep it coming down And so they say there's always a guiding thru the grey Follow the blury light That lights your way And all the way I feel it's gonna be okay It's a lesson in keep trying Taking time Taking time Taking time
10.
At the end of the day Watch me coming your way As old friends at the end The end of the trail You and I Sure we know Where that river had always flown Now we're here for the very last time Whatelse is there important When you finally learn to let go When you do whatever you want to When it's time for the change We dance along our evening skies Last embrace, kiss the world good night Dance along the evening skies I write our names in the light of the melting sky I believe every move has it's time to be moved Just until time itself takes a hold on itself By that time take a breath Leave a light on for death For it's tide may come over us tonight Whatelse is there important There is nothing left to hold on to No nothing ever was there But our friendship dear We dance along our evening skies Last embrace, kiss the world good night Dance along the evening skies I write our names in the light of the melting sky

released May 30, 2017

GRIP was performed + produced by Steven Hein all thru the years 2012 - 2017...I have to admit: with a lot of breaks.

The basics of "Ship's Going Down" were recorded at GRÜNE18, Krefeld. The piano on "All Along The Way" + "Who's Deciding" was recorded at the home of the Mondoversum. Thank you guys! Acousticguitars and vocals were recorded at my homeplace...whereever and whenever that was in the last five years. All other stuff was recorded at Wehligbunker, Krefeld.

Jumba, the features are my friends! Here we go:
Thorsten "Mr. First Take" Marach plays drums on "Who's Deciding" + "Evening Skies". Nora Freisberg plays grand piano on "All Along The Way" + "Who's Deciding". Sebastian Dückers adds vocals to the middle of "Who's Deciding". Stefan "Stevo" Oullion plays contrabass on "Ship's Going Down".

All fotos by Nadine Bernstein. Check out missanthrop on instagram. Sleevedesign + typography by Steven Hein.
