about

If I haven't miscalculated the 17th of July 2016 (the release day of this compilation) is the 14000th day of my life on planet earth. The title "14000 days" was a bit too close to the Tool album we all know, so my buddy Thorsten Marach came up with the idea to call it "two thousand weeks". Time enough to dare a little look back... at least at my musical way of life.

We start chronologically in 1998 with "two thousand weeks part one". Music had guided me all my life before but 1998 was the year the first "real" album was released. It was called "Aeon", recorded with my band Just In Orange. Thorsten Marach, Tobias Bohlmann and me decided to re-record the song "Waterland" for it's the opener of this compilation and the original recording in 1998 was...well...quite good for we didn't exactly know what we were doing.

All the other songs are left as they were recorded, to be true and to show the progress. Yes, some early stuff is hard to listen to... we were learning by doing. Take patience! The journey is worth it.
There are special credits and informations to each song for more details. Click the word "Info" appearing when you touch the title. I wrote a lot of stuff there. Check this out.

Right now I'm in the middle of a recording-session with my current project Pavallion. However... that stuff won’t be finished until July 17th (...and it had to be that date...and 38 songs because that's my age right now). So if there's ever to be a "4000 weeks" it probably will start with Pavallion. Until yet this is my lifetime achievement. That said, I hope you'll like this little trip thru my musical past.
