about

The EP "Never Tear Apart" is a birthday-present from my guitar-teacher Klaus Engers to me for my 22th birthday.
He donated me two recording days at the Flying Tune Studio in Krefeld. Best birthday-gift ever! We recorded four songs, amongst others "Donk". This is the last song on "Never Tear Apart".

At that time I kinda learned to let go of things. My band Just In Orange broke up, I finished school and didn't know what to do next...and then there's a part of my hometown Krefeld called "Donks" and I still have a crazy feeling taking a walk thru it. So...maybe a mix of "learning to let go" and that "Donk-feeling" shall explain the lyrics.
