about

Only four month after released "365°" I had 20 new songs for a next record. Guess I was "in the flow". Simulator is the opener of this album called "Expand The Orange Tent!"

I had a songversion called "White Void" (appearing as a B-side of the "Since You Came In"-EP) which has nearly the same arrangement as "Simulator". And: the verses of Simulator seem very very inspired by "The Freed Pig" from the band Sebadoh.
Certainly I asserted that after a few years. This really wasn't my aim! How could this happen?!

However...I like "Expand The Orange Tent!" very much. Maybe it is my favorite solo-album until yet. It was hard to chose only one song of it. For example songs like "Hasn't Happened Yet", "Sleep Again" or "Dustset" all mean very much to me and would deserve it to be on a "Best-Of"-compilation like this one's kinda like.

Finally I chosed Simulator. Maybe because it appeared on a sampler called "Das Beste aus 2012 - by Radio Eicken"? Yalsa! Well, "Dustset" also appeared on a sampler. That one's "Krefeld Achtung Vol.4"... you know what? Listen to the whole album and make yourself a decision.
